Oh, and some good news

For those friends/family that hadn't heard yet - I just got awarded the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Program Fellowship (NSF Fellowship, for short).  I've been bouncing off the walls for days every time I think about it!  It's a three-year fellowship that is quite prestigious (shiny on my resume!), and I am ecstatic to no longer have to worry about funding for the next few years.  This should hopefully see me through the rest of my PhD, and I will (hopefully) never have to be a TA ever again.  Yay!  And it's only two weeks until the end of this stressful semester, when I can take a deep breath, say "good riddance" to classes, and happily start puttering around my lab again doing mad scientisty type things.  :)

    1. Hi, Cathy! This was over two years ago, and a lot has changed since then. Having the NSF Fellowship sure has been nice, though. Thanks for visiting and the well-wishes!

Out of curiousity, how did you find my blog? :)
